Evanston
Hospital was the 4th Emergency Medicine program in the country
and merged with Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 1981.
Our
legacy is strong with
over 200
graduating residents and many going on to national prominence. Leaders
in SAEM, ABEM, test development, Residency Review Committee for
Emergency Medicine,
board
examiners, residency directors and researchers have done their training
through our
emergency medicine program.
Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Emergency
Medicine has 38 board certified emergency medicine physicians
with many involved in
both local and national activities and a vibrant research and educational
program.
